Terms and Policies
Welcome to the official website of the Siliguri Fruits and Vegetables Commission Agent Association (SFVCAA). SFVCAA is a non-profit organization dedicated to resolving issues related to the proper functioning of the fruits and vegetables business in the Siliguri region. By becoming a member of SFVCAA, you agree to abide by the following terms and policies:
1. Membership
1.1 Eligibility: Membership is open to all fruits and vegetables commission agents operating in the Siliguri region who agree to comply with the rules and regulations of SFVCAA.
1.2 Membership Fee: A non-refundable membership fee is required to join SFVCAA. The fee amount will be determined by the association and is subject to change at the discretion of the governing body.
1.3 Non-Transferable: Membership is non-transferable and is valid only for the individual or entity that has applied and paid the membership fee.
2. Membership Benefits
2.1 Business Support: Members will receive support from SFVCAA in resolving business-related issues, including disputes, logistical challenges, and regulatory compliance.
2.2 Networking Opportunities: Members will have access to networking events, workshops, and training sessions organized by SFVCAA.
2.3 Representation: SFVCAA will represent the collective interests of its members in discussions with government authorities, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders.
3. Code of Conduct
3.1 Ethical Practices: Members are expected to conduct their business ethically and in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
3.2 Dispute Resolution: Members must cooperate with SFVCAA in resolving disputes and abide by the decisions made by the association in such matters.
3.3 Non-Discrimination: Members shall not engage in any form of discrimination based on race, religion, gender, or any other protected characteristic.
4. Membership Fee
4.1 Non-Refundable: The membership fee is non-refundable under any circumstances, including voluntary withdrawal or termination of membership.
4.2 Fee Revision: SFVCAA reserves the right to revise the membership fee at any time. Existing members will be notified in advance of any changes.

5. Termination of Membership
5.1 Voluntary Withdrawal: Members may voluntarily withdraw from SFVCAA by submitting a written notice to the governing body. The membership fee will not be refunded.
5.2 Termination by SFVCAA: SFVCAA reserves the right to terminate the membership of any individual or entity that violates the terms and policies of the association or engages in unethical or illegal practices.
6. Limitation of Liability
6.1 SFVCAA shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, or consequential damages arising from the actions or decisions of its members or third parties.
6.2 SFVCAA does not guarantee the resolution of all issues but will make reasonable efforts to support its members.
7. Amendments to Terms and Policies.
7.1 SFVCAA reserves the right to amend these terms and policies at any time. Members will be notified of any changes via email or through the official website.
7.2 Continued use of SFVCAA services and membership after such changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms and policies.
8. Governing Law
8.1 These terms and policies shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India.
8.2 Any disputes arising out of or in connection with SFVCAA shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Siliguri, West Bengal.
